What is Gerovital–H3?

Often referred to as ‘the fountain of youth’ Gerovital is an effective anti-ageing supplement that improves cell metabolism and provides a host of other benefits for body and mind.
Like many great scientific breakthroughs, Gerovital’s anti-ageing properties were discovered by accident. Originally used as a painkiller, physicians began noticing unexpected side effects in patients, such as improvements in arthritis and hair re-growth. It wasn’t until Professor Ana Aslan, a Doctor of Gerontology and Geriatrics in Romania, started seriously investigating Gerovital, that its potential as an anti-ageing drug was revealed.
Gerovital–H3 provides a number of revitalising properties that have a favourable effect on glands, hair, intestines, blood cell formation, protein metabolism and various functions of the skin. Gerovital–H3 can help with many of the problems associated with ageing, including failing memory, muscle fatigue, impotence, arthritis, poor eyesight, high cholesterol, heart disease and senility.
One of Gerovital–H3’s most important benefits is in reducing levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Stress–induced chronic cortisol excess is common in the modern world, and is now widely recognised as a cause of premature ageing. High-cortisol levels are associated with accelerated ageing because cortisol affects the hypothalamus. It’s all down to the fact that the hypothalamus is part of our endocrine system, which is responsible for secreting hormones that regulate our key bodily functions.
Gerovital–H3 has a regenerative effect on many of the mental and bodily functions that generally deteriorate with ageing. It can help with concentration levels, improve skin and hair, alleviate anxiety, reduce stiffness in joints, and generally provide an all-round sense of vitality.
Gerovital–H3 is also a popular anti-depressant and is known to lower cholesterol levels. There are, in fact, so many benefits that Gerovital–H3 has earned itself a reputation for being an ‘all-body’ formula for postponing the effects of old age.

How does Gerovital–H3 work?

The main ingredient in Gerovital is procaine hydrochloride. Originally used as a simple and effective local anaesthetic, procaine hydrochloride also breaks down in our bloodstream to form two key bio-nutrients: para-Aminobenzoic Acid (PABA) and diethylaminoethanol (DEAE). While these nutrients occur naturally in our body, they dwindle as we get older.
And they’re beneficial since PABA stimulates the production of essential vitamins, such as B1, K, folic acid and panthothenic acid. DEAE contains choline and acetylcholine, which are two crucial substances associated with the central nervous system. They play an important part in the way our bodies react to stress, and are essential to memory functions.
Gerovital–H3 works by inhibiting cortisol, the hormone responsible for stress. Cortisol is one of the few hormones that increases with age, and in so-doing, causes damage to the endocrine system.
Gerovital H-3 has also been found to be an effective inhibitor of MAO, an enzyme in the brain that increases with age and breaks down neurotransmitters. MAO is held responsible for a number of neurological complaints, including depression and migraines. By reducing the effects of MAO, Gerovital H-3 acts as a powerful anti-depressant.

What is Gerovital–H3 used for?

Gerovital–H3 is widely used as an anti-ageing drug and anti-depressant. It offers numerous restorative properties and has earned a reputation for postponing the ageing process.
Gerovital–H3 has an effect on many of the physical and mental problems associated with ageing including:
  • Arthritis
  • Migraine
  • Abnormal blood pressure
  • Pepic ulcers
  • Parkinson’s Disease
  • Hodgkinsons Disease
  • Atherosclerosis
  • Hypoglycaemia
  • Senility
  • Poor hearing
  • Poor eyesight,
  • Failing memory
  • Muscle fatigue
  • Bad circulation
  • Heart disease
  • Impotence
  • Wrinkles
  • Oedema
  • Excessive cholesterol

How effective is Gerovital-H3?

Studies conducted by Professor Aslan, and other authors have consistently backed up claims to the regenerative effects of Gerovital–H3. In clinical trials, patients treated with Gerovital–H3 showed more desire to live, less depression and anxiety, better skin, hair and nails, increased muscular strength and joint mobility, improved physical and intellectual abilities, and less senile spots.
An experimental study conducted by Aslan on 1,840 rats demonstrated an 18 per cent to 21 per cent improvement in life span in the treated rats, as compared to control rats injected with saline solution. The treated animals also displayed thick, glossy fur, higher resistance to disease, better responses to memory and behaviour tests against the control group.
Benefits of Gerovital–H3 reported in journals over the years include reversing the brain cell membrane deterioration commonly associated with age and improving cell metabolism.
An experiment by William Zung in the United States demonstrated the benefits of Gerovital–H3 in the treatment of depression. Zung studied three groups of patients, aged 60 years and over, who were suffering from depression. Patients treated with Gerovital–H3 showed a higher percentage of improvement in areas such as mood, sociability, fatigue, agitation and anxiety.
Other studies have shown improved recall, increased psychomotor activity and muscle strength, a better memory for numbers, improved concentration and hand-eye coordination – all through the treatment of Gerovital–H3.

What is the dosage?

Gerovital–H3 is recommended for people over the age of 40 to slow down the ageing process - and as a preventative and curative treatment for chronic degenerative diseases.
Gerovital–H3 should be taken daily on an empty stomach. The recommended dosage is one or two tablets daily, two or three hours after meals, over a period of 12 days. The treatment should be repeated after a one-month break.
If the effects are too “stimulating”, lower the dosage and do not take it later than early afternoon. A periodic break from use is recommended. The original protocol is five days off each month.
Gerovital is also available in an injectable format and as Aslavital – the same formula as Gerovital but with added vitamin B6.

Are there any side effects?

No adverse reactions to Gerovital–H3 have been recorded. People who are sensitive to procaine may, however, experience: cephalea, shaking, bradycardia or tachycardia, motor or psychic restlessness, allergic reactions.
Gerovital H3 should not be administered simultaneously with suphonamides (inactivation), eserine or prostigmine.
